iciHaiti - Denial : ONA denies false allegations
Ronald Bazile, Director General of the National Old Age Insurance Office (ONA), is astonished to note the dissemination on social media of false allegations tarnishing the institution and the integrity of its Director General. These attacks come at the very moment when good governance reforms and a debt recovery offensive are being launched to put an end to wasteful practices and impunity, which is disturbing those who are committed to disorder. Rumors of "kickback commissions," "fraudulent transfers of assets" or "illicit disbursements for press conferences" are not supported by any documentary evidence.

The General Directorate wishes to remind these whistleblowers that while the 1987 Constitution (Articles 28 and 28-1) certainly protects freedom of expression, the Penal Code (Article 313 et seq.) and the Law of July 4, 1986, punish defamation and the dissemination of false news. It takes this opportunity to formally deny these defamatory assertions. It invites all those claiming to have evidence to file it without delay with the judicial authorities, particularly the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC). However, it also reserves the right to take legal action against any perpetrator or disseminator of these lies.

The ONA General Directorate reassures policyholders, employers, and workers that each gourde is rigorously managed to ensure the sustainability of pensions.
