iciHaiti - Culture : Awards ceremony for the winners of the 1st National Comic Strip Competition

On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the Villa d'Accueil, the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) honored the creativity and commitment of Haitian youth through the award ceremony for the 1st National Comic Book Manuscript Competition.

Fritz Alphonse Jean, President pro tempore of the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT), in the presence of Patrick Delatour, Minister of Culture, and Ernst Saint Louis, Director of the National Book Directorate (DNL), warmly congratulated the winners for the remarkable quality of their works. "Beyond the lines and colors, it is a lucid, creative, and bold vision of our society that is expressed. You are the artisans of a collective imagination that nourishes Haiti's future," he emphasized.

The winners, Luc-Berlin Martilot, Luc-Berline Martilot, and Jean Francisco Sylva, will now have the opportunity to continue their artistic commitment within the Communications Office of the National Palace, helping to promote our culture, our stories, and our identity through new and hopeful forms of expression.

To all young people who still doubt their potential, know that these talents honored today remind us that every drawing, every passion, or every idea of our youth can be a light on the path to our future. Dare to dream, dare to create. Haiti needs your voices.
