iciHaiti - Education : Creation of the Commission responsible for the 2025-2026 school year

The Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) informs the general public and the educational community in particular of the creation of the Ministerial Commission responsible for planning the 2025-2026 school year.
Commission's mandate :
- Develop the 2025-2026 school calendar;
- Propose the theme for the start of the school year to the Minister;
- Define the support method to be provided to parents of displaced students;
- Determine the quality of support to be provided to schools in difficulty;
- Evaluate the number of schools to be rehabilitated, repaired, and relocated;
- Provide training for high school principals on the High School Management Manual;
- Provide training for primary school principals on the Practical Guide to School Administration;
- Develop new psychosocial support programs with the Departmental Directors of Education and Inspectors;
- Intensify training on the four (4) new primary school subjects;
- Ensure the logistics necessary for the smooth start of the school year;
- Ensure the organization of classes and the availability of teaching and learning resources;
- Coordinate all activities related to the 2025-2026 school year.

- Miguel FLEURIJEAN, Director of Secondary Education;
- Kendy NICOLAS, Director of Basic Education;
- Claudin ST-JOUR, Director of Training and Development;
- Bertony CADET, Director of School Engineering;
- Pierre JEAN, Director of the Information Systems Unit;
- Renan MICHEL, Inspector General;
- Philippe Marion JEROME, Member of the Minister's Office;
- Emmanuel BERNARD, Member of the Minister's Office.
The Commission will select a Chair and a Secretary from among its members to ensure its proper functioning, monitor meetings, and manage correspondence.
The Commission has five months to execute its mandate.
