On Friday, June 27, 2025, the Office of Assurance Accidents du Travail, Maladie et Maternité (OFATMA), as part of its mandate to ensure adequate health coverage for public employees, held an official ceremony to present 792 insurance cards to newly inducted police officers of the Haitian National Police (PNH).

The event took place at the Police Headquarters in Clercine, and was attended by several PNH officials and officials from the social insurance institution.

These cards will provide beneficiaries with access to a network of OFATMA partner health facilities located throughout the country. Newly assigned police officers will now be entitled to medical care, examinations, hospitalization services, as well as assistance in the event of maternity or work-related accidents, according to the terms and conditions stipulated in the insurance plan.

Agricultural Engineer Vikerson Garnier, Director General of OFATMA, praised the close collaboration between the institution he heads and the National Police. "OFATMA thus renews its commitment to supporting public institutions and providing efficient insurance services to all public administration employees."
