iciHaiti - Marmelade : FAES launches 4 projects and creates more than 300 jobs

As part of the Safety Net Strengthening Program for Vulnerable Populations (HA-J0005), the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) is launching 4 new projects in Marmelade, a town located in the Artibonite department.

These projects, developed by the CARE organization, an expert in community interventions, will have a direct impact on the population by generating 311 job opportunities. These activities will enable many heads of households to increase their income and better meet their basic needs.

List of projects :

- Rehabilitation of two retail outlets located in Platon Guilbin, generating 79 jobs, including 33 for women;

- Concrete work on 113 linear meters of road leading to the Platon Guilbin market, generating 77 jobs, including 30 for women;

- Construction of 189 m³ of gabions along the banks of the Charrette River, creating 78 jobs, including 25 women;

- Renovation of 200 m³ of gabions on Guerrier Street, creating 77 jobs, including 32 women.
