On Friday, July 11, 2025, during a ceremony held at its headquarters in Pétion-ville, UNESCO officially handed over the keys to 16 vehicles, including three Toyota Land Cruisers, three Ford pickup trucks, and ten Yamaha motorcycles, to the Ministry of National Education.

This donation, funded by the Global Partnership for Education, is part of a comprehensive project aimed at sustainably strengthening the Haitian education system.

1. Essential equipment (computers, phones, solar generators) was also provided to facilitate the work of Ministry officials;

2. Training in educational planning and management was organized, and a sustainable program is underway with the State University of Haiti (UEH);

3. UNESCO is also supporting the Ministry in curriculum reform and the integration of Creole-based multilingual education.

"What we are celebrating today is the consolidation of a partnership based on trust and effectiveness, serving every Haitian student," said Eric Voli Bi, UNESCO Resident Representative.
