iciHaiti - Football : U15 girls and U14 boys deprived of competition
In a note from Patrick Massenat, the Secretary General of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) announced that it is forced to withdraw Haiti's participation in two Confederation of North, Central American, and Caribbean Associations (CONCACAF) competitions : the U-15 Women's Championship, scheduled to take place in Costa Rica from August 2nd to 10, 2025, and the U-14 Men's Championship, scheduled to take place in Trinidad & Tobago from August 15 to 24, 2025.

This decision, as difficult as it is regrettable, stems from major logistical constraints, entirely beyond the control of the Federation, which currently make international travel extremely complex. The main obstacles include :

• The prolonged closure of the Haitian-Dominican border, preventing all land or air transit via the Dominican Republic;
• The unavailability of U.S. and Panamanian consular services in Haiti, preventing the necessary transit visas from being obtained;
• The impossibility of chartering a flight from Haiti due to the unavailability of aircraft from Sunrise Airways, the only operational local airline;
• The unstable security climate, making it difficult for delegations to travel to the airport or any other exit point.
