iciHaiti - Displaced Persons : Relocation Check Distribution Operations Continue 20/07/2025 09:58:22
Held at the ONM premises in Pétion-ville, this distribution is the result of a lengthy process that included the identification, registration, and signing of a consent form by the beneficiaries, who agreed to vacate the site after receiving the Haitian government grant. This initiative reflects the efforts of Georges Wilbert Franck, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, to implement the Government's roadmap and also restore school spaces and public buildings to their original functions. This is a strategic and coordinated response by the government to the current situation. This check distribution operation was carried out in the presence of representatives from the Prime Minister's Office, the Ministry of National Education, the National Municipality of Haiti (ONM), the Haitian National Police, and the Haitian Armed Forces. Additional distribution sessions are scheduled in the coming days to reach as many families as possible.
