iciHaiti - Recruitment : Opening of the Admission Competition for the School of Magistrates
The Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP) informs the public in general and interested parties in particular of the launch of a national competitive examination across the jurisdictions of the five courts of appeal of the Republic (Port-au-Prince, Cap-Haitien, Hinche, Gonaïves, and Les Cayes). To recruit a new class of Magistrates Trainees, as part of a 16-month initial training program to be organized by the School of Magistrates (EMA).

The objective of this training is to enable student magistrates to become versatile magistrates capable of performing their judicial functions normally.

The competitive examination is open to candidates who meet the following conditions :

1. Be Haitian and have never renounced their nationality;
2. Hold a law degree or an equivalent diploma approved by the Rectorate of the State University of Haiti; 3. Be at least twenty-three (23) years of age and at most fifty (50) years of age;
4. Enjoy full civil and political rights and have never been sentenced to an afflictive or infamous punishment;
5. Be in good physical and mental health.

Schedule :
August 11 to 22, 2025 :
Applications will be submitted to the Clerks of the Courts of Appeal, with the exception of Port-au-Prince, where applications will be submitted directly to the EMA.

August 29, 2025 :
Publication of the list of candidates eligible to take the competitive examination. September 11-12, 2025:
First phase of the competitive examination (Written Exam)

October 9-10, 2025 :
Second phase of the competitive examination (Oral Exam)

October 24, 2025 :
Publication of candidates admitted to the School

November 27-31, 2025 :
Psychological Exam
