iciHaiti - Environment : Spanish language training

Last week, the Human Resources Department (HRD) of the Ministry of the Environment launched a series of Spanish language training sessions for selected Ministry executives and directors. This initiative is part of an effort to strengthen staff language skills, particularly in foreign languages.

This training stems from the observation that an insufficient number of executives are proficient in foreign languages, which limits access to certain opportunities, including scholarships offered by partner institutions in Latin America.

Louidjy Jeudy, Director of Human Resources, emphasized that this initiative reflects the Ministry's senior management's desire to encourage staff to embrace international development programs without language barriers. He invited participants to embrace this opportunity with enthusiasm and rigor.

Furthermore, Jeudy advocated for the continuation of this initiative, hoping that it would serve as a model for other similar initiatives. According to him, this is an important step towards building a critical mass of motivated and equipped executives to meet the challenges of international cooperation.

At the end of this training, participants should have developed 16 key skills, including content mastery, pedagogy, effective communication, content creation, use of digital tools, adaptation to technology, and motivation, among other essential elements for successful learning.
