Following its tour of 13 health facilities in the Far North (June 25 - July 4, 2025), the Department of Pharmacy, Medicines, and Traditional Medicine (DPM/MT) of the Ministry of Public Health is touring the Far South until August 8, visiting 14 health facilities.

Expected objectives of these two tours :

- Verify the availability and management of essential medicine stocks;

- Assess storage capacities (refrigerated, air-conditioned, etc.);

- Strengthen pharmacovigilance (Adverse Drug Reactions - ADRs);

- Collect logistics data (Logistics Management Information System - SIGL) and support focal points;

- Raise awareness among healthcare professionals about best practices.

Expected results :

- Improved availability of medicines;

- Application of inventory management standards;

- Increased SIGL reporting;

- Strengthened pharmacovigilance (reporting of ADRs).

Should be noted that during the tour of the Northwest, counterfeit and unregistered medicines were seized, thus strengthening the fight against illicit products.
