On Saturday, August 2, 2025, the Haitian National Police (PNH) received a donation of 32 vehicles, including 24 patrol cars and 8 ambulances.

This donation is the result of a collaboration between the Japanese Government and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

The official ceremony took place at the Police Headquarters, in the presence of Inspector General Smith Peyo, Chief of Staff of the PNH Headquarters; Xavier Michon, UNDP Resident Representative in Haiti; Ms. Haruki Furusho, Chief of Affairs of the Embassy of Japan; and several other senior PNH officials.

These vehicles fully meet the PNH's technical specifications in terms of agility, durability, and adaptability to field realities. They will enable the HNP to increase its presence on the streets and respond more quickly and effectively to emergency calls from the population. This initiative will thus contribute to strengthening public safety and improving citizens' confidence in law enforcement.
