Here Haiti - Cap-Haitien : Visit to the construction site of the Fort Saint-Michel road (video)
The rehabilitation of Street of Fort Saint-Michel (Rue du Fort Prolongée) is a major victory for the Cap-Haitien Municipal Commission and all the citizens of the municipality.

On Thursday, July 31, 2025, Ms. Yvrose Pierre, Mayor of Cap-Haïtien, accompanied by Deputy Mayor Patrick Almonor, conducted a site visit to verify the progress of the rehabilitation work on Rue du Fort Saint-Michel.

This work, carried out as part of the Resilient Connectivity and Accessibility of Urban Transport Project (RUTAP), represents a major step in relieving congestion in the city center and facilitating access and movement of people in this crucial area for the city. This road, which leads to Route SOS, represents a major step forward for the Municipal Commission, which has been in constant communication with technicians regarding the delays in the execution of this work.

Mayor Yvrose Pierre took the opportunity to congratulate the technical teams, in particular the Central Execution Unit (CEU) team, and renewed the municipal administration's commitment to continue supporting all initiatives aimed at modernizing road infrastructure for the benefit of the population.
