He announced the incorporation of 300 new rapid response agents, bringing the total to 1,000 active agents, in accordance with the central government's directive to strengthen immigration control throughout the country. "Thanks to this new personnel, trained in theory and practice, we are now operational in 19 provinces." A facial recognition system is currently being tested, which will strengthen biometric and technological controls, particularly in binational markets. Furthermore, the DGM is working on a resolution aimed at establishing formal registration and identification procedures for foreigners involved in cross-border trade. IH/ iciHaiti
