On Sunday, August 10, 2025, during her visit to Cap-Haitien on her way to Mexico to participate in the 16th Regional Conference on Women of Latin America and the Caribbean in Mexico City, Pedrica Saint Jean, Minister of Women's Affairs and Women's Rights, took part in the launch ceremony of the "Leading Ladies Alliance" (LLA) organization in Breda (haut du Cap).

The LAA is a group of women entrepreneurs from Cap-Haïtien who have united around an ambitious project aimed at promoting female leadership and entrepreneurship, essential pillars in the fight against the feminization of poverty in the country.

In her remarks, Minister Saint Jean praised this hopeful initiative and the team spirit that drives these women leaders.

Considering that this major project deserves encouragement, the Minister plans to meet with the leaders of this young organization upon her return from Mexico to discuss avenues of cooperation between the Ministry and the LLA, and to provide all the necessary support to achieve the objectives of training a critical mass of women entrepreneurs throughout the Nord department.
