Bertrand Sinal, Minister of Public Health and Population, accompanied by Boutroce Galy Pierre, Departmental Health Director of Grand'Anse, inaugurated the Baliverne Health Center on August 12, 2025, located in the 5th municipal section of Dame-Marie (population 11,000).

This Health Center will provide easier access to care, allowing the local population to quickly benefit from consultations and basic medical services. No more hours of traveling in difficult conditions to reach a health facility; residents now have access to a local service.

It will implement monitoring for high-risk pregnancies, strengthen vaccinations to protect against preventable diseases, handle basic emergencies, and, where possible, provide treatment for illnesses.

Thanks to its adapted infrastructure and qualified staff, the center will be able to meet the community's basic health needs continuously and securely. In addition, issuing staff assignment letters ensures the effective presence of competent professionals in the field.
