Concrete work on a section of the road crossing Morne Damas, located in the locality of Desroulin, in the commune of Bassin Bleu (North-West department), has raised hopes among residents that their daily lives will change for the better after many years of hardship due to poor road conditions following heavy rains.

This project involves the rehabilitation and concreting of a 105-meter-long section located in the second communal section of Carreau Daty in Morne Damas.

Carried out under the technical directorate of the CARE organization, recognized for its commitment to local communities, this work aims to optimize travel in the region while providing employment for 74 heads of household, including 36 positions specifically allocated to women.

This project, led by the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES), is part of the Safety Net Strengthening Program for Vulnerable Populations (HA-J0005). It is financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
