iciHaiti - Port-au-Prince : Installation of around fifty solar streetlights

The Municipal Administration of Port-au-Prince, in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and with support from Canada, completed the installation of approximately fifty solar streetlights this week in the neighborhoods of Sainte-Marie, Villa Rosa, and Cité Mériken.

These devices will illuminate several areas that, until now, remained plunged into darkness after dark. They will thus improve citizen safety and facilitate movement in these areas.

The ceremony took place in the presence of Guerslyn Charles, Deputy Mayor of Port-au-Prince, accompanied by IOM representatives and municipal officials.

Through this initiative, the City of Port-au-Prince reaffirms its commitment to working together with its partners to improve the living conditions of the municipality's residents.
