In the Artibonite department, specialized units of the Haitian National Police (PNH) continue to provide security for the population so they can go about their business in complete safety, particularly at the Pont Sondé market.
Chief Superintendent Jacques Ader has resumed command of the Artibonite Departmental Directorate (DDA) and is continuing the series of operations and interventions conducted by the Police in the department.
On Saturday, September 6, 2025, the Departmental Law Enforcement Unit (UDMO) of the Artibonite department continued to demonstrate its determination to fight to restore security and peace to the population. In the Lower Artibonite, particularly at the Pont Sondé market, police officers were present to assist citizens in their daily activities.
