On Thursday, September 11, 2025, Niola Lynn Sarah Devalis Octavius, Minister of Youth, Sports, and Civic Action (MJSAC), accompanied by Nathan Laguerre, Director General of the Ministry, met with the coordinators of the Civic Action Brigade to discuss the arrangements for the deployment of brigadiers for the start of the school year, scheduled for October 1st.

During the discussions, Minister Octavius ​​discussed the need for a new deployment strategy, strengthening the presence of brigadiers in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area, seeking training partnerships for the brigade, their support for events organized by the Ministry, and seeking partnerships for the brigade to build the capacities of brigadiers who will become community agents.

The training of new brigadiers in other regions of the country and their expectations were also discussed during this meeting, which provided coordinators and supervisors with the opportunity to request the resources needed to strengthen the brigade's technical and operational capabilities.

Minister Octavius, through this meeting, urged the brigadiers to mobilize and increase their presence in the field. She also reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening the brigadiers' capacities.
