On Thursday, September 25, 2025, the National Old Age Insurance Office (ONA) held the inauguration and blessing of its new premises at the Carrefour-Shada annex in Tabarre. This was a moving moment that marked the rebirth of the institution, which had been vandalized and then burned down by criminals. "This is an immense loss for ONA : a material loss, but also an emotional wound shared by you, employees, managers, policyholders, and pensioners," emphasized Ronald Bazile, Director General of ONA, recalling in his speech that "Carrefour-Shada was not alone in suffering this fate : the central office in Delmas 17, the Port-au-Prince Annex, and the Ouanaminthe Municipal Office are still waiting to rise from the ashes."

"[...] Our mission is clear : to restore to each employee a dignified and functional working environment; to ensure that each policyholder and pensioner receives the service they deserve, with respect and humanity; To offer each visitor the warm welcome and attentive listening they deserve.

This new location is therefore more than a building : it is a sign of resilience, proof of our unwavering commitment to standing by the community, even in the darkest times. Residents and employees of Tabarre, this annex is yours. Take great care of it and protect it, with the support of law enforcement, so that it remains a safe, useful, and sustainable space.
