iciHaiti - Social : «Kay Fanm» stands alongside women victims of violence
The prevailing insecurity in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area has a very serious impact on women.

Many women are victims of severe physical abuse and gang rape perpetrated by armed criminal gangs and are forced to seek refuge in unsafe, undeveloped shelters for displaced persons. In these shelters, some women suffer further violations (sexual exploitation, physical and sexual violence) at the hands of gang members and men living there. Young girls are also raped in these shelters.

As part of its support for the adult victims it welcomes, "Kay Fanm" is organizing workshops in September and October 2025 focused on exploring shared experiences, mutual support, women's human rights, and the principles of feminist intervention. With the support of its long-time partner, the Trois Rivières Solidarity Committee (Quebec), this program is being offered to 111 women.

"Kay Fanm" emphasizes that it gives equal attention to all victims, regardless of the context of the attack.
