iciHaiti - OAS/PNH : Institutional cooperation strengthening

On Wednesday, October 1st, 2025, as part of the strengthening of institutional cooperation, Vladimir Paraison, Acting Commander-in-Chief of the Haitian National Police (PNH), welcomed Cristobal Dupouy, Special Representative of the Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS) in Haiti, to the headquarters of the HNP in Clercine 8 (Tabarre).

The discussions between the two men focused primarily on the PNH's strategic priorities, namely :

• Structural reforms;
• Modernizing the operational capabilities of the police institution;
• Addressing current security challenges;
• Improving police benefits;

Vladimir Paraison expressed his gratitude for the OAS's continued support and expressed his hope for a deepening of the partnership to strengthen the PNH's capabilities.

In return, Cristobal Dupouy reaffirmed his commitment to sustainably supporting the PNH's professionalization and institutional strengthening efforts.
