iciHaiti - Back to school : The PNH mobilizes all its units to guarantee security
As part of the 2025–2026 school year, Vladimir Paraison, Acting Commander-in-Chief of the Haitian National Police (PNH), accompanied by members of his High Command, chaired a strategic meeting with the heads of all specialized units and those from the jurisdictions of the West Department.

The main objective of this meeting was to strengthen security in and around schools, reassure parents, students, and teachers, and ensure the resumption of academic activities in a stable and peaceful environment.

During his speech, Paraison emphasized increased vigilance, coordination between units, as well as a sense of individual and collective responsibility. He reiterated that "the start of the school year is a sensitive time that requires the full mobilization of the PNH to protect our youngest children and support the stability of the country."

In addition, several senior officials took turns speaking to underscore the importance of this mission :

- Chief Inspector General Frédéric Leconte emphasized the need for rigor in the chain of command and rapid response in the event of an incident;
- The Central Director of Administration and General Services (DCASG), Inspector Alain Auguste, called for efficient management of logistical resources to support operations on the ground;
- The Central Director of Administrative Police (DCPA), Jacques Joël Orival, emphasized the strategic role of police stations and sub-police stations in monitoring school zones, while emphasizing the importance of justice and stability required during this period.

This meeting provided an opportunity to define clear areas of coordination and accountability, ahead of targeted deployment in sensitive areas. Commander Paraison closed the meeting by reiterating that the Haitian National Police (PNH) remains faithful to its mission: to protect and serve, especially during crucial times like the start of the school year.
