iciHaiti - Jacmel : Launch of work to strengthen, rehabilitate and extend the SAEP 05/10/2025 09:41:52
The launch took place in the presence of, among others, the Mayor of Jacmel, the Representative and Director of the Ministry of Public Works, the Regional Director for the South, the Grand-North Project Coordinator, and executives from DINEPA, the Regional Office for Drinking Water and Sanitation (OREPA-Sud), and the Jacmel Technical Operations Center (CTE). The Tempo Construction - STP Acuster consortium was awarded the contract for the work, which is expected to last 18 months. The work includes, among other things : • Laying of over 40,022 ml (40 km) of pipes (all diameters); • Installation of 13 new fire hydrants; • Construction of 1,900 new connections; According to preliminary studies conducted for the project, the population will benefit from this project. The affected communities include : Kap Marécho, Brémann, Fon Alexis, Fon Prince, Démontreuil, Zoranj, Monchil, etc... IH/ iciHaiti
