As part of the International Day of Rural Women (October 15, 2025), the City of Port-au-Prince salutes the courage, determination, and important role of these women who contribute every day to food security, environmental protection, and the country's development.

"Despite economic difficulties and social problems, these women remain pillars of resilience, solidarity, and hope. They are at the heart of agricultural production, the transmission of knowledge, and the protection of community values.

The City of Port-au-Prince renews its commitment to continue promoting equality between women and men and to supporting local policies that give greater space and participation to women in all areas, particularly in the environment and the local economy.

On this day of celebration, let's pay tribute to all of Haiti's rural women, guardians of the land, the cornerstone of the country's life and future."
