iciHaïti - Environment : Closure of the Kiteyo sub-watershed development
Official reception marking the completion of the Kiteyo Sub-Watershed Management Project, carried out in the Haut du Cap section, Kiteyo area.

Conducted over three months by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the North Departmental Directorate of Agriculture, with funding from the French Embassy and technical support from the firm HICC, this project resulted in the construction of 84 m³ of gabion weirs, 60 m³ of earthbag weirs, and the planting of vetiver and bamboo.

More than 80 workers, 40% of whom were women, actively participated in the activities. This work helped to correct the Ti Sous ravines, protect the soil, and create local jobs.

The project was supervised by Dr. Emmanuel Jean François and Agricultural Engineer Edwine Joseph (DDAN), in collaboration with the IOM Focal Point. Jean Clément Maxilin, TS Doret Assedius, Agr. Eng. Alexandre (BAC Cap), and engineers Handy and Gomez (HICC).
