iciHaiti - Brazil : Project to open three new Haitian Consulates

As part of the government's consular policy aimed at providing better service to Haitians living abroad, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs dispatched a delegation to Brazil, led by the Director of Consular Affairs, to initiate the project to open three new Haitian Consulates General in São Paulo (SP), Salvador (BA), and Florianópolis (SC).
To begin its mission, the delegation met this week in São Paulo with several representatives of organizations and community leaders, including Reverend Father Paolo Parise of the Peace Mission, a migrant support center that has already assisted nearly 38,000 Haitians in Brazil; leaders of the League of Haitian Pastors of São Paulo (LIPAHSP); and representatives of the Union of Haitians of São Paulo (USIH) to address the community's main needs regarding consular services.
