iciHaiti - Insecurity : A UDMO agent killed in combat
The Haitian National Police (PNH) announces the death of Officer Josué Saintina of the 34th class of the Departmental Unit for Maintaining Order-2 (UDMO-2), which occurred while he was defending the Arcahaie area.

On November 17, in Laboderie, a locality on the border of Arcahaie and Cabaret, Officer Saintina was critically wounded by a gunshot to the head during a confrontation with terrorist gangs attempting to invade the region. He was a member of the 34th graduating class.

Given the urgency of the situation, a medical evacuation by the PNH's HERO helicopter ambulance was requested by his fellow officers, but the officer's condition, having fallen into a coma, was too unstable to withstand the flight to the capital.

He was rushed to the nearest hospital, where he received intensive care. Despite the widespread mobilization of medical teams and all efforts deployed, his condition could not be stabilized, and he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

The Haitian National Police (PNH) extends its deepest condolences to the family, loved ones, and colleagues of Josué Saintina, and assures them of its full support during this difficult time. We reaffirm our complete solidarity with our officers in the field, who are demonstrating exceptional courage. As for the terrorist bandits responsible for this loss, the PNH remains unwavering : their crime will not remain unpunished, and all means will be relentlessly deployed to track them down, neutralize them, and bring them to justice.
