iciHaiti - Cap-Haitien : Financial contribution from Taiwan
On Friday, November 21, during a ceremony in the Diplomatic Lounge of Cap-Haitien City Hall, Hu Cheng Hao, Ambassador of Taiwan (Republic of China), presented a financial contribution to Angeline Bell, Mayor of Cap-Haitien, for the implementation of the Women's Training and Support Sanitation Project.

In her address, Angeline Bell thanked the Taiwanese Embassy for this gesture and noted that this financial support will bolster a project addressing two major priorities for the city :

• Improving urban cleanliness;

• The economic empowerment of women from vulnerable neighborhoods.

Ambassador Hu Cheng Hao reaffirmed Taiwan's commitment to standing alongside Haiti in the implementation of concrete projects that can improve the living conditions of vulnerable families. He emphasized that the support given to this program demonstrates the solidarity of the Taiwanese people and their conviction that "without inclusive social development, there can be no lasting stability."

The Cap-Haitien Municipal Commission, on behalf of the City, expressed its profound gratitude to Taiwan for its continued commitment and reiterated its dedication to ensuring rigorous, transparent, and efficient management of allocated resources to maximize the project's impact.

This financial support represents a significant step in efforts to clean up the city, boost the local economy, and provide new opportunities for women in Cap-Haitien.
