iciHaiti - Elections : Strengthening the electoral process
The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) and the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) initialed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on November 20, 2025, concerning the strengthening of the electoral process and democracy in Haiti.

By signing this document, simultaneously in Pétion-Ville by Jacques Desrosiers, President of the CEP, and in Washington, D.C., by Anthony N. Banbury, President and CEO of IFES, the two institutions commit to conducting regular consultations and carrying out activities to achieve their common objective.

Under Article 3 of the MoU, IFES commits, among other things, to providing the CEP with technical assistance for strategic communication planning, civic and electoral education, and public awareness campaigns. It also intends to participate in raising the necessary funds for the activities planned under this partnership agreement.

Concluded for a period of four years, this MoU is intended to enable the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) to strengthen its institutional capacities in order to better fulfill its mission of organizing inclusive and impartial elections, with complete independence and transparency.
