iciHaïti - Cap-Haitien : SOS Road Rehabilitation, Monitoring of Works

During his trip to the North, Raphaël HOSTY, Minister of Public Works, held a crucial follow-up and coordination meeting with all stakeholders involved in the Road SOS rehabilitation project. This vital artery provides a direct link between National Route 1 (RN1), near Vaudreuil, and National Route 3 (RN3), near Madeline.

Part of the Urban Development Project in Cap-Haitien, this project aims to significantly improve local road infrastructure and, consequently, stimulate economic and commercial activity in the region.

The project is divided into two parts :

- Road Works : This includes the construction of nearly 7 km of roadway, including the installation of the road structure and a drainage system. This project is being carried out by COAMCO Haiti S.A.

- Engineering Structure :

This project involves the construction of a new bridge over the Mapou River, located in the Haut-du-Cap section. Construction is being carried out by the consortium Matiere SAS / ECCOMAR S.A.

The supervision and verification of all work is being handled by the consortium TECHNIPLAN / SECOM.

This meeting allowed the various stakeholders to review the overall progress of the work. It concluded with a site visit where operations are currently focused on the preparatory stages, including the removal of the existing road surface and the placement of fill.
