iciHaiti - Politic : OFATMA extends its coverage to employees of the State Lottery

The Office of Workplace Accident, Illness, and Maternity Insurance (OFATMA) is continuing to expand its insurance coverage. A delegation led by Ms. Cassandre Cilien, Head of the Social Insurance Department, and José Cherenfant, Head of the Promotion Department, held an important meeting on November 26 with executives from the Haitian State Lottery (LEH) to initiate the enrollment process for LEH employees in OFATMA's various insurance programs.

This meeting aimed to raise awareness among LEH staff about the benefits offered by OFATMA's insurance plan and to present the practical procedures for enrollment.

OFATMA representatives emphasized the workplace accident insurance component, which is a crucial pillar in protecting employees while they perform their duties.

At the conclusion of the meeting, two application forms for workers' compensation insurance and health and maternity insurance were officially submitted to the LEH Human Resources Department, thus marking the effective launch of the enrollment process.

Moïse Antoine, the LEH Human Resources Director, welcomed the initiative, emphasizing the importance for his institution's employees of finally having insurance coverage. He also announced the upcoming organization of an information session for newly enrolled staff to enhance their understanding of the services offered by OFATMA.
