iciHaiti - Economy : Strengthening the investment environment in Haiti

As part of the desire of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) to strengthen public-private dialogue and support the economic recovery of the country through concerted and sustainable actions, the Ministry met this week with the West Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIO) around actions to be undertaken to strengthen the investment environment in Haiti.

The discussions focused on :

- The facilitating measures discussed within the Interministerial Investment Commission (IIC), the institutional strengthening of which will make it possible to reduce file processing times;

- The importance, for CCIO member companies, of taking advantage of the opportunities offered by public markets, by exploiting the information contained in the budget document;

- The presentation of the main public projects in progress, in order to encourage better involvement of the private sector in their implementation.

The MEF also presented the outlook for the 2025-2030 Recovery and Development Plan, as well as the national macroeconomic framework, highlighting ongoing reforms and new mechanisms for access to financing for Haitian businesses.
