iciHaïti - Social : Secretary Joseph at the bedside of «Beken» guitar icon

It was with profound emotion and great joy that Génard Joseph, the Secretary of State for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities, recently welcomed guitarist Jean Prospère Dauphin (70 years old), also known as "Beken" an icon of Haitian music, who was sadly been completely paralyzed since suffering a stroke in 2023.

In response to this situation, Génard Joseph, head of the BSEIPH (Bureau of State for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities), announced his intention not only to pay tribute to "Beken" but also to ensure his complete care.

This initiative by the Secretary of State transcends mere artistic recognition. By committing to both honoring the icon and ensuring "Beken's" medical and social care, the BSEIPH clearly demonstrates its unwavering commitment to helping the most vulnerable.

The welcoming of Jean Prospère Dauphin is not an isolated act, but a powerful symbol of the State's commitment to leaving no one behind and extending its support beyond status considerations to guarantee dignity and assistance to every person with a disability, regardless of their background.
