iciHaiti - Cap-Haitien : First Mobile Tribunal
On Monday, December 1st, 2025, as part of the "GBV Model Jurisdiction" project funded by Norway, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP-Haiti), through its Justice and Anti-Impunity Support Project (PAJLI), partnered with UN Women-Haiti to organize a meeting in Cap-Haitien dedicated to Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

The event brought together 35 participants (including 17 women): judicial actors, representatives from the Haitian National Police (PNH), the Bureau for the Protection of Minors (BPM), and GBV Units, as well as women's organizations, the Ministry for the Status of Women, and the Office of Citizen Protection.

This meeting, held using a participatory approach, identified the main challenges and formulated numerous recommendations to improve the response to GBV and strengthen women's and girls' access to justice.

Participants proposed holding monthly in-person meetings to strengthen inter-institutional coordination and ensure ongoing monitoring of GBV case handling, at the next meeting scheduled for January 15, 2026.

The institutions and organizations present also reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the process and agreed to hold the first Mobile Tribunal, which will focus on the Bois de Lance communal section in Limonade.
