Yverick Delerme Cyril, the Consul General of Haiti in Miami, launched Doing Community Haiti in Oakland Park (Fort Lauderdale) and issued a strong appeal for a truly united Haitian community aware of its collective strength.

"This is exactly what we lack in Miami to become a true community," the Consul declared to an engaged audience of community members, professionals, and association leaders, emphasizing that pooling resources for the benefit of Haiti remains the best opportunity to "transform our presence in the diaspora into a powerful force," stressing the urgent need for a collective effort to defend Haiti’s culture, image, and interests.

Consul Yverick Delerme Cyril praised the initiative led by Yves Lafortune, stating that it aligns perfectly with the Consulate's strategic vision : "to build a more organized, united, and influential community, capable of rising to the level of other structured diasporas in South Florida. This kind of initiative brings us closer to what we need to become," he concluded, calling on everyone to participate in this collective organizing effort, essential for the future of the Haitian community.
