iciHaiti - ICAN 2025 : Haiti wants to strengthen its air connectivity
The Government of Haiti, represented by the National Civil Aviation Office (OFNAC), actively participated in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Air Services Negotiation Event 2025, held in November in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

The ICAN event is a leading global platform where States negotiate Air Services Agreements, establishing the framework governing the frequency and conditions of flights between countries.

During this event, Haiti engaged in negotiations with several countries, including the Bahamas, Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Ecuador, Spain, Guyana, Iceland, Jamaica, Mexico, Oman, and Qatar. These countries were chosen because they host a significant Haitian community or maintain strong ties with Haiti.

"Increasing flights to these destinations will allow Haitians to travel more easily and safely, while also boosting the economy, tourism, cultural exchange, and cooperation with these countries," OFNAC stated.
