Friday December 5, 2025, Vladimir Paraison, the Acting Commander-in-Chief of the Haitian National Police (PNH), went to Jacmel. This mission aimed to inquire about the working conditions of police officers.

Commander Paraison was received by Principal Commissioner Lenoret Honoré, Deputy Director of the South-East Department of the PNH. The latter presented an overview of the difficulties encountered on the ground, mentioning in particular a critical lack of weapons, equipment, personal protective equipment and intervention vehicles, including armored vehicles, as well as problems relating to police personnel.

Despite the problems encountered, the security situation in the South-East Department remains generally satisfactory, thanks to the vigilance and determination of agents of the Departmental Directorate of the PNH.
