iciHaiti - Health : 17 specialists trained at Justinien University Hospital
Graduation ceremony for 17 doctors at Justinien University Hospital (HUJ). A historic moment, primarily for the first graduating class of doctors to complete their basic training at the Limonade School of Medicine.

The event was held at the Hostellerie du Roi Christophe. The new specialists were trained in the following fields : internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, orthopedics and traumatology, and obstetrics and gynecology.

Several powerful messages were delivered during the ceremony.

Dr. Bertrand Sinal, Minister of Health, who was represented at the event, encouraged the new specialists to also serve remote areas of the country, where the need for medical expertise remains significant.

Dr. Hans Humbold A. Charles, Departmental Health Director for the North, described the event as historic and urged the graduates to become "bearers of light", by combining competence, humanity, and courage.

The Dean of the Limonade School of Medicine praised the academic continuity between his institution and the HUJ, while Dr. Calil Turenne, Executive Director of the hospital, emphasized the importance of this step in the institution's mission of excellence.

Dr. Paul Euclide Toussaint, Medical Director of the HUJ, described it as a "moment of triumph", recalling the often demanding conditions of medical training. Similarly, Dr. Dudely's Ambroise, President of the Central Residents' Committee, paid tribute to the faculty and reiterated that specialization implies responsibility, commitment, and service to the Haitian people.
