Gabriel Ronald, Governor of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH), speaking at a roundtable held at the Lycée Alexandre Dumas to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the French Institute of Haiti on the theme "University Cooperation and Mobility : Where Does Haiti Stand, and Where Are We Going ?", stated that strengthening human capital is central to his vision.

Training, transmitting, and innovating—this three-pronged approach encompasses the following actions :

• Preparing young people to face today's challenges;

• Strengthening the country's scientific and technological capacity;

• Creating the conditions for a more modern and competitive economy.

The Governor emphasized that national development requires a robust university system supported by competent institutions.

In this regard, the BRH provides support through :

• Academic mobility;

• Scientific research supported by the BRH Fund for Research and Development;

• Partnerships that strengthen specialized skills.
