iciHaïti - Christmas : Wishes and tribute from the PNH to the police officers

On Thursday, December 25, 2025, Christmas Day, as many gathered with their families hoping for a moment of peace, the Haitian National Police (PNH) offered a special thought to the valiant police officers who continue to protect the population and maintain public order at the risk of their lives, in an extremely difficult situation.

"Christmas, a symbol of peace and hope, resonates particularly strongly in Haiti. While families seek a respite, the police remain on high alert. They patrol, provide security, and intervene, often with limited resources, in a context marked by insecurity, uncertainty, and daily sacrifices.

Despite the pressures, the painful losses, the long hours of service, and the separation from their loved ones, these men and women continue their mission : to protect the population and maintain public order. Their often silent commitment is one of the last bulwarks against chaos.

On this Christmas Day, we must not ignore the challenges or shortcomings, but rather salute the courage, resilience, and determination of those who, despite everything, continue to fight for a safer Haiti.

To all the police officers deployed in the field, to those who have fallen in the line of duty, and to their families, we send a message of respect, solidarity, and hope. May this Christmas bring strength, protection, and comfort to each and every one of you. Merry Christmas and honor to our valiant police officers !"
