Haiti's Diaspora woman at the head of the CCI-Sud
Kathia Verdier, the Minister for Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE), enthusiastically welcomes the election of Ms. Cosy Nadège Clergé as President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the South (CCI-South). She succeeds Jean Nathan Létang in this role. A member of the diaspora originally from Les Cayes, Ms. Clergé was elected with 20 out of 21 votes for a two-year term. She becomes the first woman to lead the CCI-South, an organization dedicated to promoting and contributing to the development of the private sector and economic activities in the country's Southern region. She will be supported by a team comprising : • Juliotte Pierre Kemuel : First Vice-President; • Michel Franck Leger : Second Vice-President; • Sarah C. Joseph : Secretary General; • Jean Judeson Georges : Assistant Secretary; • Jean Mike Charles : Treasurer; • Ansell Viaud : Assistant Treasurer. Ms. Clergé possesses a strong background in mathematics, computer science, and management. As CEO of Ideal Group SA, manager of Ideal Guest House, and President of the Gaskov Clergé Foundation, she brings recognized experience in business, entrepreneurship, and community engagement. Minister Verdier welcomes this vote of confidence and emphasizes the importance of female leadership, the entrepreneurial spirit, and the contribution of women to Haiti’s economic development. She also encourages greater collaboration between the CCI-South and Haitians living abroad who wish to invest, create opportunities, and contribute to the economic development of the Southern region. Minister Verdier wishes Ms. Cosy Nadège Clergé—as well as all members of the new CCI-South Board, great success in their new roles. IH/ S/ iciHaiti
