End of the project "Peace Dividend Marketplace-Haiti"
The project "Peace Dividend Marketplace-Haiti" has completely ceased its activities in Haiti this Friday 30 June 2012. Launched in Port-au-Prince in August 2009, this project was funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) for three years for an amount of U.S. $ 5.1 million. Its goal was to create jobs and foster stability and economic growth in the long term in Haiti while facilitating access to goods and services available locally. The Ministry of Trade and Industry will now support this service.

Bill Clinton promotes tourism
Former U.S. President Bill Clinton, conducted last Thursday a visit to Haiti, devoted to the exploration and promotion of tourism in many parts of the country. He flew by helicopter to tourist facilities in Ile-à-Vache (South) and Jacmel (Southeast) before concluding his tour in the North where he visited the Palace Sans-Souci, who integrates the national Historical Park and the resort Labadee. In Jacmel, Bill Clinton praised the tourism potential of the city by visiting a hotel and craft shops.

End of the tour of the "Caravan of Investment"
The Consulate General of Haiti in Atlanta, officially ended Wednesday, June 27 the "Caravan of Investment" in Paschals at Castleberry Hills. Over 100 business leaders and the Consuls General of Czechoslovakia, the Philippines, Canada, England and Vice Mayor of the City of Atlanta attended the conference under the theme "Haiti is open for Business."
