Inauguration of Duty Free Americas

Preparation of the legislative Agenda
Earlier this week, members of the government and parliamentarians, met at the Hotel Montana for a workshop in order to prepare the legislative agenda of 2013 of the opening of Parliament [9 January 2013], the discussions focused on various pieces of legislation, proposals, draft laws, conventions, treaties, agreements or protocols in order to identify the priorities of the government, those of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate.

A very sad story...
The Embassy of Haiti in Mexico has great regret to announce the death of Mr. Joseph Casilus Dieumerci occurred at General Hospital Enrique Cabrera. According to information provided by the deceased, a week before his death, he had illegally entered Mexico with the help of some fellow who had promised wonders. Housed in a first time at one of them, he was stripped of all its resources before being loosely thrown into the street and abandoned to cold and misery. The Embassy of Haiti condemns this odious act and informs that it has asked the Mexican authorities to conduct an investigation to shed light and the guilty punished. While bowing respectfully before the body of Mr. Joseph Casilus Dieumerci the Embassy presents its condolences to his family and took the opportunity to warn against mafia networks, which offer illegal travel to Mexico whose the outcome are most often catastrophic.

Celebration of lawyers of over 50 years of career...
Last Saturday, the Bar of Port-au-Prince has honored of lawyers with over 50 years of service in the profession. At the ceremony, 17 people over 50 years of career, were presented as symbols for the rising generation.
