Orlando, Requiem Mass in memory of January 12, 2010
Consulate of the Republic of Haiti to Orlando inform the Haitian Community of center of Florida that in memory of the victims of the earthquake of January 12, 2010 in Haiti, a requiem mass will be sung Friday, January 11, 2013 at 6:00 pm by the Reverend Father Gaétan Boursiquot at St James Cathedral located at 215 N Orange Ave, Orlando, FI 32801. The Consulate of the Republic of Haiti to Orlando relies on the presence of everyone and asked them to observe a minute of silence January 12 at 4:53 pm at the time of the tragedy.

Training of 1,000 scientists over 10 years
Tuesday, Daniel Supplice, Minister of Haitians Living Abroad attended the launch of the "Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies of Haiti" (ISTEAH). This initiative of the Group of Reflection and Action for a New Haiti (GRAHN), aims to train 1,000 scientists over a period of 10 years in various fields throughout the country.
Seizure of narcotic in Charpentier
Monday evening, officers of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) of the Southern Department, conducted an operation that led to the seizure of 44 kilos of marijuana in Charpentier, at the entrance to the town of Les Cayes. Narcotics were on board of a green Montero, registered BB-67222, owned by a certain Jean François Frankel.
