Embezzlement, 63 people indicted

The investigating judge Vinx Etienne decided to send before the criminal court, 63 63 people charged with embezzlement in the Northwest, of 10 million gourdes of Universal Schooling Program Free and Compulsory (PSUGO). Of the 63 people indicted, 7 are imprisoned and others are on the run. Alcidonis Henry, former Deputy Departmental Director of Education Northwest and main accused in this case is under the influence of a search warrant international.

Conference in Miami, on the perspectives 2013

Tomorrow Monday, Régine Godfrey, Minister of Communication and Reginald Delva, Secretary of State for Public Security in the company of the Consul General of Haiti in Miami, François Guillaume II, will give a conference in Miami,they will take the opportunity to share their perspectives for the year 2013 in order to better inform the diaspora of different concrete actions of the Administration Martelly-Lamothe.

Training workshop on the safety standards

The National Port Authority (APN), in collaboration with the company CINTAS Corporation authorized by the "US Departement of Homeland Security and U.S. Customs Border Protection" organized a training workshop of two days, around the compliance with the safety standards of the "Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT)." Nearly 70 participants, representing the port sector, carriers, customs brokers, container terminals, government agencies, security agencies, etc... were able to familiarize themselves with international safety standards.

Josette Darguste speaks Heritage with UNESCO

Friday, Josette Darguste, the Minister of Culture, met with an UNESCO delegation on the protection of heritage. This working session was held around the will of the UN organization to work towards the strengthening of the capacity of protection of intangible cultural heritage of Haiti. In this sense, two workshops should be conducted in the North and the South, the Minister expressed her interest in the protection of intangible cultural heritage and touristic of country in order to restore the memory of Haiti.

Summit of Heads of State

Pierre Richard Casimir, the Foreign Minister announced that the 5th Summit of Heads of State will be held in Haiti from April 23 to 26, and invited the Heads of State of 23 member countries and associates to attend.
