Inauguration of Service Maternity of the HUEH

Friday, March 8, officials of governments, American, French and Haitian will attend the inauguration of new facilities of Maternity Service of the University Hospital of State (HUEH). The U.S. government, through the U.S. Agency for International Development, at the request of the Haitian government and the French government, renovated the maternity to ensure better obstetric care to the community while continuing on large-scale the reconstruction of the hospital undertaken by the Haitian government. In addition to the renovations, the U.S. government is also funding the reconstruction of other buildings of the HUEH with its partners of the Haitian government and of French government.

New Ambassador of Haiti to the Dominican Republic

Tuesday, the President Michel Martelly appointed Daniel Supplice, former Minister of Haitians Living Abroad, Ambassador of Haiti to the Dominican Republic, he will replace to this position Mr. Fritz N. Cinéas. This appointment requires the approval of the Senate before being effective.

State reform, signature of a contract

Tuesday as part of a funding of the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB), a contract was signed between the Government of Haiti represented by Marie Carmelle Jean Marie, Minister of Economy and Finance and the Ecole Nationale d'Administration in France, represented by Emmanuel Vergne . This agreement is part of the implementation of the reform of the State and these results should be obtained over a period not exceeding six months, it aims to : 1) Develop a standard Handbook of Human Resources Management 2) Conducting the census of agents of Public Service 3) Establish a system of Integrated Management of Human Resources.

5,000 "Panye Solidarite"

At the request of the delegation of Center and of authorities of several zones affected by the drought period, Klaus Eberwein, Director Général of Funds of Economic and Social Assistance (FAES), has recently conducted a distribution of 5.000 "Panye Solidarity", as part of program "Ede Pèp". These food kits were distributed among other to residents of : Thomassique, Cerca Carvajal, Baille Touribe, Acajou, Brulé, Petite Montagne.
