The Minister of Tourism speaks of cleaning

Tuesday, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism, met at his office, Mr.René Max Auguste and Mrs. Monique Rocourt of the ISPAN around the cleaning of the zone extending from the Bay of Carénage to Picolet (Cap-Haitien). The discussions also covered the Restoration Plan of Fort Picolet.

Partnership between UEH and the University of West Indies

Yesterday, Tuesday, was held a working meeting between the President Martelly and Nigel Harris, Vice-Rector of the University of the West Indies, in the presence of Jean Vernet Henry, Rector of the State University, of the presidential Cabinet, of Ministers of Education and Foreign Affairs. During this meeting, it was discussed, of opportunities for partnership between the two institutions.

New Deputy Director General at MICT

Monday, David Bazile, Minister of the Interior and Territorial Communities (MICT) has proceeded to the installation of Major Patrick Bastien to the position of Deputy Director General of MICT. After 14 years of active service in the Armed Forces of Haiti, Patrick Bastien has successively held the positions of Deputy Director in the Directorate of Immigration and Emigration, Chargé de Mission in the same Directorate, official of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Member of Cabinet of the previous and the current Minister of Justice and Public Safety.

Distribution in the prisons in St. Marc and Gonaives

After the Prison for Women in Petion-Ville, and the National Penitentiary in Port-au-Prince, Rose Anne Auguste, the Minister Delegate in Charge of Human Rights and the Fight against Poverty Extreme, went Saturday, March 9 in St. Marc and to the prison of Gonaïves to proceed with a distribution of various supplies to meet the urgent needs of prisoners. In total, 746 detainees benefited from these distributions.
