Assizes of leaders of the Democratic Opposition
Me André Michel, declared opponent the President Martelly announced thatwill be held this Sundayat Gonaïves, the assizes of the Democratic Opposition with the participation of leaders from 10 departments around the theme of the mobilization. It is, according to Me Michel, to deepen the process of strengthening of the opposition. Issues such as national sovereignty, elections, good governance, will also be discussed.

Electrical problem on the way to being resolved
The Electricity of Haiti (EDH) announce that the work of commissioning of the the third 25 MVA transformer, Saturday, April 6, 2013, at the sub-station Canapé Vert, as well as the transfer of breaker control boxes at the control room is completed, all circuits are resupplied and power is restored, except for Morne Calvaire, Road Métellus, Montagne Noire and Marlique that are in default. The Directorate of the EDH informs its customers, that a technical team works tirelessly to restore power in these zones.

Cabotage rates
Wednesday, Mrs. Ginelle Noël, Coordinator of the Planning Unit, together with the staff of this unit, had a working meeting with 19 heads of Units of Ports of Cabotage (UPC) to discuss the implementation of the rates in force since June 2012 in these ports and development perspectives of cabotage. This working session helped to understand the necessity to conduct a diagnosis of the sector and a new approach of rates.
It also highlighted the difficulties faced by those responsible, concerning the compliance with current tariffs and of problems organizationaland in the infrastructure.

Cooperation with Cuba in the field of sport
Magalie Racine, the Minister of Youth and Sports, during a meeting in Port-au-Prince with the Cuban Ambassador Ricardo Garcia, has expressed interest to expand and strengthen cooperation with Cuba in the field of sport. According to diplomatic sources, the two leaders reviewed the work carried out by the Cuban coaches in Haiti, which support the development of children and adolescents in the School of Talent in Croix-des-Bouquets.
